It was an invigorating experience for the students of class IV A when they displayed their first class presentation on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, in front of their parents and guardians. An interactive and interesting session was put up by the students, with an objective to showcase the ongoing academic activities in the classroom.
The presentation began with a prayer to seek the blessing of the Almighty. The presentation regarding the core subjects followed the Lord’s Prayer. First, it was the turn of English Language, where the students highlighted the importance of understanding subject and predicate which is vital in writing and speaking grammatically correct and readable sentences. The students acted as quiz masters for an interactive and fun English Quiz.
It was then followed by a poem recitation from the Literature section. The title of the poem was’ The Letter’. The students reflected upon this means of written communication, which is slowly dying in the age of technology. The next presentation was related to Hindi where the young students presented a heart touching story of ‘Eidgah’ written by Munshi Premchand.
In Mathematics, an engaging activity to compare like and unlike fractions was designed to encourage the students to learn mathematical concepts in an interesting way. The children next presented a skit in Science based on the importance of green plants. They performed an interesting experiment to show the presence of starch as well.
In Social Studies, the students acquainted everyone with the diverse landforms found in India. Last, but not the least, the children educated the parents regarding Microsoft Word, its key features and its application.
The presentation ended with a thanks giving speech by our respected Principal ma’am followed by a brief interactive and feedback session with the parents. Overall, it was a golden opportunity for the students to be a part of a presentation which instilled a sense of responsibility, belongingness, teamwork and confidence in them.
