“There is no garden as beautiful as Childhood”. Every child is a different kind of flower; together they make this world a beautiful garden.
All over India, 14th November is celebrated as Children’s Day to pay tribute to the legendary freedom fighter and our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru popularly known as ChaCha Nehru.
Staford School celebrated Children’s Day with mirth and gaiety. It was a fun-filled day for the students. The teachers made the day special, as they had a lot of fun-filled activities lined for them. The day began with a friendly Cricket Match between the teachers and the students. Enthusiasm knew no bounds when the students cheered for their favourite players and witnessed an exciting victory of the students’ team. The students’ team won the match by 24 runs. Principal, Mrs. Ratna Khanna, greeted the students and appreciated the efforts of the winning team. Later during the day, many exciting races were organised for the students of classes I to IV. The campus was buzzing with excitement and joy as the children participated in races like balance the book, three-legged race and pack the bag race. The tiny tots of Pre-Primary Section got creative beyond the boundaries as they dressed into fancy dress characters of their choice.
The day ended in a beautiful resonance lingering in everybody’s minds. The entire programme was applauded by everybody present and will always remain etched in the memory of one and all.It was indeed a day happily spent.
