Lord Krishna as a child is an embodiment of joyfulness, playfulness, endearing,
mischievousness and blossoming intelligence. The mothers in India see an image of
Bal Gopal or Kanha in their child. The teachers at Staford also feel the
same way and want each child to grow up with all qualities that brings about all-round
personality development.
The significance of this festive activity was to create awareness about traditions and
customs and inculcate moral values like truth and love for all, justice and righteousness.
The naughty Krishnas and cute Radhas of pre primary section made beautiful bansuris,
colourful peacock crowns of Lord Krishna, decorated dahi handis and prepared
attractive thalis for pooja. The students were excited and enjoyed trying their hands at
various things.
The day was full of enthusiasm, euphoria and merriment.
