Celebrations for all
The Christmassy spirit was clearly visible at Staford Preschool, Chowk among enthusiastic kids and teachers as they were seen enjoying the party held to mark the joyous occasion. Besides celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, they also spread the message of giving and forgiving. A short prayer service was also conducted. While the school premises were luminously lit with colourful lights and decked up with beautiful holly leaves and wreaths, glittery stars, jingling bells, shiny balls, and figurines of characters from the bible; the Christmas tree positioned near the entrance grabbed the eyeballs of one and all. Cut-outs of Santa riding his sledge with reindeers rushing through the snow, beneath the moon and star-lit sky, beautifully adored the soft-boards, which were bordered with red and white balloons, ribbons and streamers. Christmas carols like ‘Jingle bells, jingle bells’; ‘Silent night’, ‘We wish you a merry Christmas’ and many more that were played, added to the enthusiasm of the tiny tots, who had come attired in shades of red, green, white and silver. They were seen swaying and dancing to the rhythmic tunes and beats. While the little boys flaunted smart ties, bows and hats; girls walked in at the elegant best with tiaras on their head and purses in hand. Small cakes, goodies and Santa caps were distributed to all children. Children, who had come dressed up like Santa Clause, went around the entire school, giving candies and chocolates to everyone. The event culminated on a festive note with photo sessions of all classes.
