‘Raksha Bandhan’ is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions and is symbolized by the tying of a holy thread, ‘Rakhi’ around the wrist of brothers.
It was a day when young Stafordians turned into little artisans,
with creativity and colors- red, yellow and cyan, silken threads, ribbon, etc.
It was a day when celebration of love between brothers and sisters began, and making the best ‘knot of protection’ was the only plan. The rakhis that were made were an enviable lot and a fusion of modern with traditional styles was seen.
The activity aimed at strengthening the bond of love and to instill the virtues of love and harmony among the young, growing Stafordians.
