Staford School celebrated its second Annual Sports Day, Blaze 2017 on 24th and 25th November with great elan. The students of classes Nursery to X enthusiastically participated in various sports activities.
The Chief guests, National level chess player, Mr. Anand Singh and Director, SAAR Documentary Film Production, Ms. Rupali Chandra. Special dignitaries and patrons graced the event along with the deputy manager of Staford, Ms. Richa B. Jolliff and director of the school, Mr. Ambrish Bansal, was also present on this auspicious occasion.
The highlight of the event were the splendid field displays, involving hundred percent student participation. The performances by the tiny tots of Pre-primary section won the hearts of everyone. Pom-Pom drill,butterfly drill and aerobics performance of young stafordians won the hearts of the audiences. The pyramid formation, Peacock drill and Fan Drill were highly appreciated by the spectators. The races like Funny me race, Pack the bag race, three legged race and Pick the flower race amused the audience.
The winners and the runner-ups of track and field events and races proudly received the prizes from the chief guests. As a run up to the Sport Day various sports events and competitions and matches such as Volleyball, Badminton, Cricket, football, kho-kho, kabaddi, high jump and swimming were held during the preceding fortnight. The prizes for these events were given away the certificates and the prizes on the grand finale of Blaze 2017. The program was lauded by the chief guests, Ms. Rupali Chandra and Mr. Anand Singh, who congratulated the Principal and the entire team for the event. They also emphasized on importance of sports and game to attain physical fitness apart from inculcating values like sportsmanship, team work and healthy competitive spirit among the students.
