The world is largely known through the senses. The sense of sight is one of the most important one. Through it we see mountains, rivers, trees, plants, people, clouds, rainbows and birds flying in the sky. At night we see the moon and the stars. We are also able to see the words and sentences.
But how is seeing made possible? How do we see various objects?
To answer such queries and to provide knowledge of the facts, principles, concepts and laws of reflection of light, various light related activities were conducted for the students of class 8.
We may say that eyes see objects. But, we can’t see an object in the dark. It means that eyes alone cannot see the objects. The light may have been emitted by the object, or may have been reflected by it.
The concept of reflection, the incident and reflected ray was explained to them by making a ray box wherein they were able to see the formation of the rays and understand the relation between angle of incidence and reflection.
