Computer networks allow the user to access remote programs and remote databases either of the same organization or from other enterprises or public sources. Computer networks provide communication possibilities faster than other facilities. In order to become aware of the process of networking and the various concepts associated with it, the students of class VIII took an initiative by making PowerPoint presentations and discussing the topics with their classmates.
An interactive Computer class was witnessed as the students presented the topics such as types of networking, wired and wireless transmission media, different computer networks characterized by their size, network topology (bus, ring, star, mesh) in a presentable manner.
The students also brought forth the pressing issue of network hacking and various terms associated with it such as white hackers, black hackers etc. They also shared the precautionary ways of protecting data from theft such as antivirus software and firewalls.
In short, the presentations by these young and dynamic students laid a strong foundation to understand the complex process of computer networking in a simpler way.
