Class IV A students had an exhilarating experience in their Robotics class on Wednesday, when they got an opportunity to construct a hand trolley using their I-Pitara kits. The students worked in small groups and displayed a wonderful coordination, even though they didn’t have any prior knowledge of Robotics.
The trolley had two wheels attached to an axle, which rotates when one pushes the structure forward or backward. The trolley was constructed with a purpose of carrying heavy objects with ease.
The activity was intended to be fun apart from teaching the students about some basic elements of Robotics such as the purpose and function of wheels, motors, and learning to assemble part. The activity required, put to use and tested coordination skills, creativity, self-expression and planning.
