Republic Day holds a special place in the heart of every Indian. Not only does it commemorate the day when the Constitution of India was implemented, but also extends an emphatic message of being true and responsible denizens, so as to ensure the progress of our beloved motherland.
The 69th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Staford School. Students stood in attention and saluted the national flag and pledged to uphold the harmony, integrity, diversity and uniqueness — the features, which best exemplify India.
The venue reverberated praises for the country as students of class II presented the patriotic song, ‘Saare jaha se accha, Hindustan humara’. Remembering the members of the Drafting Committee and the Constituent Assembly, students also paid tribute to them by reciting their respective slogans.
This was followed by a beautiful dance performance by students of classes pre-nursery, nursery, KG and I, which brought out the true meaning of ‘Unity in diversity and ‘National Integration’. The graceful movements of the little dancers were mesmerising.
Students of the Staford Preschool, Chowk branch, stole the hearts of all spectators by their captivating dance performance on a patriotic song ‘Ek tera naam hai saacha’.
