27 Jan 2020

Reminiscences of our freedom struggle floated in our eyes and drenched us with the sense of duty to hold and retain the freedom that was handed over by our nation makers, when the 71st Republic day celebration reached its heights on 26th January, 2020 at Staford School. Stafordians’ excitement had no bounds and the essence of patriotism in the air demanded to hold the pounding hearts. Patriotic numbers were on every tongue, invoking the responsibility towards our nation and towards our constitution.

On this gala day, unfurling the tricolor, a heartfelt tribute was given by our Chief Guest….. And thus the celebration got a start, the presence of our Chief Guest, Director Staford School, Mr. Ambrish Bansal, Assistant Director, Mrs. Anjali  Bansal, Principal, Staford School along with other dignitaries graced the occasion and inspired the students to be a sincere Indian.

Performance of kids from Pre Nursery and Nursery enlivened the stage and enchanted the audience. ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara’ performed by Pre-Primary kids cherished love for the nation irrespective of cast, religion and colour and displayed the major strength of India that is ‘Integrity and Diversity’. The words ‘Ye Bharat rehna chahiye’  of our former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpeyi dipped into the heart of the audience, while feelings turned in to gestures of respect, pride and duty towards our nation with the performance ‘Phir bhi dil hai Hindustani’.

The Chief Guest Aftab Ahmad Khan (Additional DGP CRPF Retd.)  enamored the students and audience by his inspiring and captivating motivation that would work as a torch bearer in the life of every responsible citizen. He motivated every individual to take an active part in the making of  a prosperous Nation.

The other performances like United India, Commando song by Pre School , Chowk and Thakurganj also succeeded in creating the ambience  of ‘One India One ambition’ that is to thrive India and aloft the tricolour over the globe.

The program concluded with the obvious pledge to be taken by every sincere citizen that they would claim their fundamental rights only if they perform their fundamental duties towards the nation and its constitution. Distribution of sweets marked the sweet end of the celebration with a satisfactory smile on every face.
