Striving for a better, cleaner and a consistent tomorrow we need to act NOW…. Staford School observed a Climate Change Week to make children aware of our responsibility of saving the environment and ensuring a safe and secure tomorrow.
The highlight of the week was an interactive session by Mr. Harjeet Singh, Action-Aid activist, leaving a positive and long lasting impact on the young minds of the Stafordians to enable them do their bit in bringing up a better, cleaner and a secure tomorrow.
The issues of rise in global temperatures, green house effect, fast changing climatic conditions, carbon emission, carbon footprints and pollution were taken up in the session and thoroughly discussed. Mr. Harjeet Singh animatedly answered a volley of questions put up by inquisitive and curious students and set them thinking deeply on the issue, in the process. patience.
In his concluding statement, Mr. Harjeet Singh said that progress at the cost of harming the environment is iniquitous. Citing the examples of developed nations like USA and Denmark, he insisted on the difference between comfort and happiness and training our minds consciously to make the right choice.
