Colours of creativity
On occasion of Holi, a fun-filled, colourful activity —‘Play with colours’, was organised by Staford Pre-school, Chowk at its premises. Little Stafordians, who participated with all their enthusiasm heard the legends associated with Holi in rapt attention, as their mother teachers narrated the stories.
Under the guidance of teachers, children of junior play group splashed different colours to make innovative patterns on Holi greeting cards. They used straws to blow out the paint on paper.
While senior play group kids crafted pichkaris out of coloured paper; the nursery children made Holi colour buckets using small disposable cups. Kindergarteners painted their tiny palms in different colours to make impressions on greeting cards. These activities designed by school teachers not only helped the kids identify, recognise and remember different colours, but also enhanced their fine motor, social and interpersonal skills. Besides, the activities held also aimed at making children work in groups and as a team.
A Holi special edition of Staford School’s newsletter— Staford Scope, was also distributed to all students.
As the entire school was decked up in vibrant shades, it seemed that colours were raining at Staford Preschool.
