Taking the leap into the public world requires the art of public speaking. Learning social behaviour via verbal communication to groups is a vital learning tool. Class presentations pave the way for public speaking. Allowing the students to present and hear others making presentations, helps them overcome inhibitions of public speaking. Staford School believes in the all-round development of the children and a class presentation is one of the effective ways to bring a difference in each child.
A class presentation was scheduled for Class VIII on 25th July 2015. The Presentation began with a short prayer seeking blessings of the Almighty, followed by topic wise presentations in the respective subjects. The items included:Prefixes and Suffixes in English, Water Conservation and Management in Science, Varnmala – Swar avem Vyanjan in Hindi, Balancing linear equations in Mathematics, Fundamental Rights and Duties in Social Studies and IRNSS in Computer Science.
The hard work put in by the students was quite evident as they took the responsibility of delivering the entire session on their shoulders. Right from compering to the channelization of the props, these young Stafordians exhibited their best.
The presentation was informative, vibrant and interactive and was appreciated by the parents who were happy to see their children moulded in a new shape by their teachers.
An address by our Principal Ms. Vijaya Kumar ma’am concluded the hour-long presentation. Overall, it was a new learning experience for the students and a demonstration of the on-going academic activities for the parents.
